Bella and Dr Jane Goodall

One of our family’s favourite animal moments was when our cockerpoo, Bella, met the world-renowned primatologist, Dr Jane Goodall.

Bella met Jane several times, and what made their meetings so special was that Jane had developmental prosopagnosia, commonly known as face blindness, which made it difficult for her to distinguish between human faces. Yet she always remembered Bella when she came to visit, recognised her and developed a special bond with her.

Jane dedicated her life to understanding and protecting animals, so seeing her form such a special connection with Bella is a memory our family will always treasure.

Thank you and best wishes
